Yaşar University Vocational School which was established in 2001 has education duration of two years. The vocational school consists of two units, namely, the Technical Programs Department and the Economics and Administrative Programs Department. Vocational School first began in the 2002-2003 academic year with four programs, and then attained to seven programs during the academic year in 2003-2004. As of 2004-2005 academic year, the school has a total of nine programs certified by the Higher Educational Council of Turkey.
The language of instruction in the Vocational School is English, in addition Italian is instructed as a second foreign language. Those students admitted to the Vocational School who do not have an adequate command of English, will be trained in Wall Street Institute of language preparatory school for one year before their entrance to the Vocational School.
Nowadays in this information age, facilitating the progressively improving and varying communication technology of the globalizing world, the Vocational School is engaged in training and educating high quality individuals equipped with both the theoretical knowledge and the technological experience in order to provide an interface labour force and to achieve this purpose, the Vocational School’s mission is to provide an active education required by the globalization which will create an impact upon our region and country as the world progresses into an information society.
